We are proud to announce that LWYS will be offering the IHSA’s newest varsity sport…Girls Flag Football! There will be 2 travel teams competing in an all-girl league against north suburban towns (5th & 6th and 7th & 8th grades).
Fee $300. Registration ends August 1st.
The season is an 8-week season consisting of 7 weeks of regular season games and the 8th week is a two-day playoff weekend. All regular season games will be played on Sundays.
Kickoff weekend will be September 8th, with playoffs on the weekend of October 26th and 27th.
Practices begin the week of August 26th. Teams will practice 1- 2 times a week before the first game and then 1 day a week during the season. Dates will be finalized as soon as a coach is identified.
To align with girls high school, the league follows the USA flag football rules.
