Key Dates for 2022 Season
July 1 - Fall registration closes
July 25 - Evaluations begin for tackle football 6th, 7th and 8th grade - Equipment Handout will happen the first day of evaluations for tackle football.
July 26 - Evaluations for all grades of tackle football
July 27 - No evaluations, St. Joseph's food drive
July 28 - Evaluations for all grades of tackle football and flag football grades 2nd-5th.
July 29 - Evaluations for all grades of tackle football and flag football (includes K)
August 1-5 - Evaluations continue for all grades of tackle football
August 6 - Tackle football teams announced, practice 5x week begins
August 15 - Flag football teams announced and flag football teams begin practicing 2x per week
August 22 - Tackle football teams practice 3x per week, flag football teams practice 2x per week
August 27 - Tackle football games begin
September 3 & 4 - There will be tackle football games over Labor Day weekend
September 5 - Flag football practice 1x per week
September 10 - Flag football games begin
October 22 - 1st round flag football playoffs for Bantam & Feather levels
October 25 - 2nd round flag football playoffs
October 29 - Flag football championship games
October 29 & 30 - 1st round tackle football playoffs
November 5 & 6- 2nd round tackle football playoffs
November 7 - First day to turn in tackle equipment
November 12 & 13 - Tackle football championship games
November 14 - Last day to turn in tackle equipment
About Libertyville Wildcat Youth Sports (LWYS)
- Formerly known as the Libertyville Boys Club, the organization was originally established as a boxing club and has proudly served Libertyville and surrounding communities since 1933
- Official Football and Cheerleading feeder program for Libertyville High School
- In 2019, more than 400 athletes across 27 teams participated in LWYS programs
- The travel tackle program hosted more than 1,500 athletes and their families from more than 20 communities across Lake, McHenry, Cook and DuPage counties last season
- Volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
